There is no charge for a presentation and our representative will not seek contributions. Please note that speaker requests should be made at least two weeks prior to the meeting date. Presentations can include: “The Cal Farley Legacy” – This is the story of “America’s First Boys Ranch.” The program reviews the organization’s founding history and provides a comprehensive overview of the childcare organization Cal Farley’s is today. When possible, a student from Boys Ranch or Girlstown, U.S.A. can be made available to provide a perspective on campus life. “Old Tascosa” – Long before it was Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, it was the Wild West town of Old Tascosa. This presentation tells the tale of some of the larger than life charters that called Old Tascosa home. From Boom Town to Boys Ranch, this program shares the town’s saga and evolution. “Annual Boys Ranch Rodeo” – Held every Labor Day weekend, the Boys Ranch Rodeo features only students living at Boys Ranch and Girlstown, U.S.A. as participants. In an effort to promote the Annual Rodeo, this program is recommended for the summer months, when the presentation can feature our buckin’ cowboys and cowgirls that are involved in the Rodeo. Other presentations can showcase the “Annual Lions Club Shopping Spree to Benefit Cal Farley’s” held every November.
